Manuel
Antonio - Where the Rainforest Meets the Beach!
Manuel
Antonio is located on the Central Pacific Coast of Costa Rica and is ideal for
tourism. Its location provides tourists the excitement and adventure of a vacation
in the tropical rainforest surrounded by some of Costa Rica's most beautiful beaches.
Once you've been there, it's certain you will want to go back.
Manuel
Antonio was declared a national park in 1972 and is the natural habitat of many
exotic species, including the endangered squirrel monkey, the white faced capuchin
monkey, raccoons, three and two-toed sloths, and many species of birds. The area
is surrounded by natural rain forests, beautiful beaches and three different types
of mangrove swamp which cover about 44.5 acres.
This
beautiful Costa Rican attraction is a very desirable tourist destination. The
park conservation officials have set capacities at 600 people per day from Tuesday
to Friday and 800 people on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays. If you happen to
show up on a day that has already met capacity, you'll definitely want to try
again the next day. But don't worry, there is so much more to do in the area.
Manuel
Antonio is located approximately 100 miles southwest of San Jose, Costa Rica and
approximately 5 miles from Villas Tranquilas. Traveling by car from San Jose takes
approximately 2 ½ to 3 hours and offers magnificent views through the mountains.

20 minute flight. Flights are usually available daily. Check out domestic flights
